I just recently ordered a 12FVSS because the properties of SS are appealing, but I'm not a big fan of how it looks. I've been told that its difficult to obtain a durable paint job on SS, so I've been looking at powder coating the barrel and action. Unless anyone can recommend a good way to paint SS?

paint wouldent be all that durrable on SS.

you would ether need to get it powder coated. but that kinda ruins the big apeal of SS the shiny surface. powder coat can be made shiny, but it would be fairly expencive, and your gun may not work well after (as they build up a fairly thick layer on the material. than bake it quite hot. (so make sure there is no cheap solder on it or it will melt and parts will fall off)

GunKote, Duracoat and Armacoat can be applied to stainless in any colour or patern imaginable and is way more durable than paint and thiner than powder coating

It's hard to decide which to use, they all seem to be very similar produce applied in the same way. Are there any opinionated users of these products out there? Brownell's Aerosol GunKote looks fairly easy to use.
