Pair of TT33 Magazines tied together...What?

Hey Guys,

Just received my TT33 from Marstar, in excellent condition I might add!

I have one question, both the magazines are tied together with what looks like an old soviet rope/twine type thing.

Is this how they were handed out? Or can I just cut the rope without breaking the "authenticity" or the firearm?

That is hemp rope, you can smoke that s#1t! The soviets use bits of string for all types of stuff. A lot of ammo is stored in crates, containing tins, containing little string tied paper bundles of rounds. That's how you do things when people are cheaper than machines, lol.

Yup, it has matching numbers. I disassembled the magazines and took the rope off. Keeping the rope just for ####s and giggles. May put up on EE for $100 if cash is tight.
