PAL (CFSC and CRFSC) Exam

Just wondering if anyone could tell me where I could take my PAL exam in and around the GTA. I have just recently taken the CFSC and CRFSC courses at a local hunting license store. I was told that I would be taken to an examination location after I was done my courses. Now that I am done my courses I am finding it impossible to find anyone working in the store to contact. The store is closed everyday and the guys number isnt working. Where can I go to just take the CFSC and CRFSC exam?

The OPP in Orillia is responsible for receiving paperwork from examiners. You'd think they could tell you who can do your testing. Rather than spend your own long distance money, call the 1-800 CFC number and ask to be forwarded to the OPP.

They are located in Richmond Hill in the Major Mackenzie and Yonge area. They let people challange the exams.

I did my courses and exams there. Great group of people.

I've also heard good things about FAC Firearms Academy Canada (guns.to)
 
Thanks for the quick replies. Will YRfirearms let me take the exam even though I didn't take the course with them? I am pretty pissed of with these guys that I paid for the course. They didn't even finish it to the end.
 
You can 'challenge' the tests, i.e. 'challenge' is CFC-speak for taking the tests without taking the courses. It's passing the tests that is required to get your PAL/rPAL, not the attending of the courses.
This is regulation everywhere -- but as to if someone will offer that is another issue. I believe it is common though.

Every once in a while, someone posts that the CFC prefers people who've taken the course, not merely challenged the exam. You might want to try to get the second company to acknowledge that you've taken the course as well as challenged the test when they fill out the paperwork to the CFC. On the other hand, doing so might slow down your getting a PAL while the CFC tries to figure out what everyone's talking about on the form.

Yes. The weekend Idid my courses, there were at least 10 people for both exams who did them without taking the courses with YR firearms.
