If you were trying to buy from the store in Edmonton they will accept your DL. My wife did exactly that since her PAL renewal was about 7 months late. At one point they had some powders that were priced "ok". Was a nice gift for Christmas.

I dont see what the big deal is about showing your pal.
I been asked to show my pal at Wal-Mart and Canadian tire. I always just say that since your working i sporting goods that they should get their gun license. Just turn a negative into a positive situation. I have gotten two kids at Canadian tire in my location to get there license.

So your okay with companies having pictures of your PAL AND DRIVERS LICENSE on file permanently for anyone to have access to and possibly use your IDENTIFICATION for fraud. Or have you missed what this thread was about?

Read properly..he said ‘showing ‘ not giving copies of it.
Everytime somebody buy powder online - you must provide full infos - name - address- PAL number and modt likely CC infos.

Not that long ago..we had to fill in a register - name - address - phone #- PAL number and signature to get powder. Now it is on the invoice and taking copies is just a lazy - expedite way to do it and get the required infos.

Every store have it’s policies about docs - showing or copies - you don’t like it - you walk out.
Still a free country - for the store and customer - even if it’s not clear under the Turd/Libs/NDP…

Bought some powder at Cabela's last year, the sales guy didn't ask to see my PAL but wanted me to fill out a form. I said that its not required by law and he said company policy. Seeing as he didn't look at my PAL I filled out the info I wanted too, not mine. He didn't care.
