How long should it take for an PAL/RPAL application to appear on the website for status?

Friend sent his in 2 weeks ago by priority post by Canada Post and so far the website states there is no application for that person. I checked both new applicants and existing applicants.

Should have been there by now. I sent mine standard post and it took about 2 weeks to show up. All I can suggest is to double and triple check the information you input into the query page. Other than that, if its not up by week 3, your friend may have to send his application again.

(he might check his payment method and see if the RCMP has taken his money yet?)

I have heard about a delay for this, IIRC other guys have posted about seeing nothing and then all the sudden being approved a week later.

Give em a call I guess if your bud wants to make sure.

Mine arrived on the 13th but didn't show up on the website until the 20th or so. When it did show up it said recived on the 13th so I wouldn't worry about it. They must stamp them when the get them in and just take a week or so to put them up online.

I sort of remember this happening with mine. I might just tell him to give it another week and I'll keep checking on it.

What is the website to check the status of your application?

I just recently sent my application in and I wasn't aware there was a website you could check.

It was mailed priority post with tracking number. Tracking number states that it was accepted on March 25th. He gave them a call and they told him they have no idea if they have it or not and to keep checking the website and call them back in a week.

just to high jack this thread, What number do I have my contacts call if they missed the RCMP's phone call? They did not leave a message.

If they miss the phone call the RCMP will send a letter in the mail with the phone number and a referance number, it wont hold up the application unless the referance dosnt get right on it.

In my case, the RCMP lady left a phone message on my buddy's answer machine, telling him number and extension to call back.

When she called me, she clearly said she were going to call my references and told me to write down number, extension and application number so I could give it to my references in case she couldn't find them.

Note however that my references are in another country, so sending them a letter wasn't really an option (70% change it will never arrive, and if it does, it'll probably be in several months).

I think you can call the CFC and ask for the phone number/extension to give to your references.

All the best!
