Iv sent in my App. And the test results. But Iv got a question about my test results. I see everyone saying that they received their test results from the CFO, how ever my test results were from the instructor of the course's I took.

The Non-Restircted was done in 2000, the Restricted was done in 2003.

Am I screwed?

You are not screwed. I was in the same boat as you, only my exam results had the additional misfortune of being damaged in a house move by some cooking oil. Oil on that paper makes it translucent and the markings are pretty much gone. I sent them in (finally) with an explanation of the damaged sheets. I could not get a replacement copy from my instructor though.

Miramichi got the letter, processed everything, did the calls and I got my license in the mail with no problems. No problems with being a long term depression sufferer as well. Let the lady doing the interview know how long it had been going on for and she asked if I followed up with a Dr. Told her the truth that I follow up with my Dr every few months and the meds are stable. Not a problem at all.

It isn't at all as bad as some may make it seem to be. Check the web site often, remember that there is like a 28 days waiting period too before they will move on anything. Send it registered, signature required and track it online via Can Post so you know when it arrives and the 28 days starts.

I remember being told that the test results were good for one year from the date the exam was completed.

Just a thought no back up to that claim

test results are test results. I know a few people who waited over 5 years before sending them in. And those were hard copies that were given righ to them after the test. Not a big deal, they'll process them just like any others they receive.

The CFO/FSESO imposed 'send in the course results for review' in Ontario started about 3.5 years ago. Prior to that people got a copy immediately. The test results never expire.

I wrote my test in 1995 (pretty sure - could have been '96) and applied for my RPAL in 2010. In between then I had lost the papers, but the people at the firearms office had the results. They just asked for my name, where I took the test, and my best guess at the year and found it right away.

I hear it could be 3-4wks before you see a status on their website! I'm into my 2nd week now and still nothing. I'll fax in my test results tomorrow (got them last Friday) and see if that gets the ball rolling... not holding my breath.

Different provinces have different policies.

Here in BC, you are tested and given your paper mark results as you walk out the door.
In some other provinces, those tests are sent away for marking and then results mailed to you. The process adds approximately 2 weeks to getting licensed, but some people have waited 6-8 in some cases.

Be thankful you have yours now.
