PAL with pardoned criminal background?

Hi All,

I am interesred in getting my pal or rpal. 10 years ago I was searched and the police found a small spring loaded switchblade. I know it was a dumb idea to have one, but I was 18 yrs old and thought the it was cool. I was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. I was later pardoned.

Is it even worth my time doing the test or will I stand no chance after the background check?

They (CFC) go back 5 years, you should be good.

Give 'er. Had quite a few "spotty" instances myself back in the day worse than what you speak of. Have my RPAL no problem no hassle. Just make sure those instances stay in the past where they belong

I also have a background in criminology. past 5 years ago and a pardon. never affected my application. gluck to ya!
