Palmetto state any good?

Hey guys. Ive been looking into an AR for a while and noticed a well priced Palmetto state on the EE. Has anyone here had any experience with these rifles before? The specs seem pretty good on paper. Opinions?

I don't own one, but have had a chance to shoot one a lot. Great little AR as far as I'm concerned. Accurate, and bare balls. My favourite part was how crisp the trigger is. I compared it to my friends DD. We've put about a thousand rounds through it and never had any issues!

I've handled a lot of Palmetto AR's (and still own a few). They have quite a cross section of parts at various levels of quality (to fit any budget down south it would seem). The only thing I'd say to avoid with Palmetto is any of their PTAC stuff (which we don't see up here anyway). It's lower quality. Most of their premium stuff is easily on par with DD. Their 4150 and CHF barrels are made by FN and they outsource their uppers/lowers from the same companies as most of the other AR builders. If you're looking at that one for $675+shipping it's an excellent price for an all US made AR. No Norc or NEA will be comparable to it.

That was a sweet deal. Best deal on an AR I've seen in a long time. Just about bought it myself.

Still plenty of good deals to be had right now. Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find a nice rifle for a good deal.

Yeah there's a couple ruger piston rifles for sale in my budget and i really like those. I'm kind of kicking myself for not getting the PSA. At that price, I could have had it cerakoated right away and it still would have been less than my planned budget.
