Panama 30-06

Spotted a Panamanian 30-06, a short little carbine at the Calgary show. May have to grab it tomorrow.

I'll bet that little bugger would roar!

Try different brands of ammo. Some is not as loud as others.

How's the show this year? I made it to last years and it was great.

Been really good. I've sold 3 of 6 so far. Seems that maybe attendance is down a bit, but the fellow I am helping is happy.

Someone had an "Ethiopian" Mauser, but I think it is humped. It is a long one, but according to Ball there are only two known examples and both have crests. This one doesn't.

^^Yes. "Humping" can be a problem, and sometimes hard to detect. You see some outlandish stuff.

Can't say too much. I looked at it Thursday night, the dealer pointed to the crest, but I didn't verify it. I checked the bore and thought it a bit rough. Next morning it was gone. It was one of the short-a$$ed ones like the Mexicans had. Haven't been able to find anything on them. She's gone anyway.
