Anyone here ever use a Panda Fclass action? How does the aluminum hold up?

Also the looks of it remind me of my Musgrave with the square bottom and integrated recoil lug.

Thanks

they were very popular in the USA nationals and worlds in the USA earlier this year, just oredered 2 f-class pandas, polished with rails and so on. they will work good and they are selling about 40 to one compared to actiosn for benchrest nowadays. delivery time is about 4 months and they will export right to you

there are currently 2 businesses looking at importing them but they had better get going as by spring they will maybe be a 6 month wait time as business will pick up then as they are becoming more popular all the time,

hope some of the canadian time will chime in here

I am a big Barnard fan and I don't think there is a better action made. For F/TR you may save some weight using an alu Panda over the S and for sure over the P. Generally the heaviest barrel you can put on a F/TR is a heavy Palma and make weight. I think they will both shoot well but the Barnard is definately a tougher action.

Did you have fill in a lot of paper work to get it exported? Any details about the ordering process would be appreciated. PMs welcomed.

there are threads on importing and I cannot add anything to those threads, try the search finction as I am not able to post a link on those at this time

you can do it yourself but if someone steps forward and gets a 10 % discount and Kelblys exports them for the business they will be about the same cost as regular retail from an individual so I am hoping someone gets a bit order together

as I have both action, and both on FTR built. the Barnard is on a Robertson H&H and my Kelbly F-Class is on a StarShooter stock. I really like both of them for difeerent reason. Barnard is really stiff action and like Ian said, will not produce galling as easy as a Kelbly. In fact, I made quiet a good one (galling) on my Kelbly action as I had a lack of lubricant behind lugs (((( When I showed Ian Kelbly the lugs, he told me it was one of the nicest he saw....

Kelbly is way smoother to operate than the Barnard and will stand more pressure to my surprise before having a stiff bolt. The fact that I have 10oz more available to put on the pipe is a big plus. I would suggest to go with the Kelbly. They are exporting trought a brooker and you can import it yourself like I did without any cost related except the 60$ Kelbly will charge you. You will find proper document on:

www.losttarget.com

A good action for FTR is the Pierce titanium action. It can be made single shot, square tang and weight 20oz !!!!!!! for about the same price as a Kelbly.

I don't recall the exact page.....i'll let you guys find it out on the page ))

My FTR gun is manage so I can put a 7pounds barrel on it with my Kelbly.
have fun
