Recently I have been looking at joining the black and green rifle family, and was considering a norinco. However, I was just informed that I may be able to get a Panther ap4a from a chap who wants to sell it due to not being able to use it enough. From what I am told, it has an ACOG or red dot on it, not sure which as I am yet to hear back from him. It also has a few other bits and gubbins, I suspect that means a vertical grip or bipod or something rather. If all goes well, he will sell it for $800. Does this sound like a good deal?

I am new to the black and green rifles, so any opinions on the Panther ap4a would be appreciated.
 
The DPMS AP4 is a $1600+ Rifle.

Warning flags would go up for me if he is selling it 1/2 price with a $1200 ACOG on it as well.

Unless you went to school with this guy....run away
 
Wow, I didnt know they were worth so much. But the guy is a good friend who just wants to get rid of it since he no longer shoots. Thanks for the reply.
