Panzerfaust 60 - Repros/Replicas?

I thought there was a reproduction uniform ordnance compaby in Edmonton called G Max that made these? No need to go south of the border. I think they depended heavily on a very low Canadian dollar value so with the par dollar situation maybe they closed up shop?

Controlled Goods Directorate.

I take it that it's because of the size of the black powder charge? Wiki gives a charge size of 54-190g depending on model

Thanks guys. Klunk, are the Panzerfausts they sell at Military Tour made by G-Max? If not can you or anyone tell me where I can find G-Max ones because I saw them online years ago and these seemed to be the most accurate.

So a PIAT is controlled even if its nothing more than a 200lb spring pushing a steel rod up a tube?;)

Oh by the way, I have one, but I couldn't have one in the "People's Demokratik Republik of Kalifornia"

The Controlled goods act was written long before the events of 911. It appears as if it was more towards controlling imports/exports of military goods and technology, but to do so, of course possession had to be controlled in country. The list of items controlled is very broad and somewhat vague. It does not differentiate between 60 year old relics and modern day equipment.

To possess these items one must merely register with the DCG department, and subject your storage areas (ie, your house) to inspections for appropriate security. Apparently there are steps underway now to fine tune the coverage of items so as not to effect collectors and other users. As it is currently written, almost every collector and shooter in the country would have to register.
