Hello folks I'm just looking for paper 20 gauge shotgun shells or hulls. I do reload myself and I know you can get paper 12ga hulls and loaded shells on the market however it seems 20ga is almost impossible to locate. If anyone has some information on where or how to locate a few shells or hulls it would be greatly appreciated. Anyone who has hunted upland game birds with paper shells knows why I am looking for some for next year lol

I think RST Shells is the only company that still makes Paper in 20ga, you can find some older ones at gun shows, usually a little expensive. I think that they are Winchester and they are Red in colour since they where made before the colour coding.

Have you ever seen RST sold here in Canada?

Not down this way for sure
Even if I had enough 20ga paper hulls left to send you where would you get the old components to reload them
The 12ga federal papers are a different animal and made for modern plastic wads etc
I had probally 400 or so of these 20ga winchesters but I gave them to a lady to use for decorations on xmas wreaths she makes for that reason no proper components anymore to reload
You are way better off looking for some vintage factory loaded shells at gun shows etc. Vintage 20ga are not that hard to find in paper
Also if you are looking for the smell you will never get it out of a reload. Believe me we have tried and tried and tried even back in the day when these were all we had to reload

Cheers

Federal used to make paper Champion loads in 20 ga years ago... Discontinued but I have seen these for sale on Ebay and such through the years. Dont know if Ebay even handles "gun" stuff any more....

I've never seen 20 gauge paper hulls. I have been reloading again the last month and been using some Federal papers in 12 gauge. A lot of them are the Champion hulls that M12shooter mentioned. You might try contacting Challenger in Montreal, as they do / did load paper 12 gauge shells. I would also suggest you try posting your question on Trapshooters.com ... the guys in the States have a much larger access to stuff.

I have through the years came across many boxes of old Canuck and Imperial 20 gauge loaded ammo at gun shows and such. Usually odds and ends but they sure smell like old times once fired...
