Lets say you buy a restricted gun off EE. You send the money, do the transfer calls and two weeks later (if you're lucky) you call the CFO and they tell you the transfer has been approved and completed.
Do you need to wait for the RCMP letter telling you its been completed before you take delivery, or is the fact that its been transferred OK?
The reason I ask is that for the week or two between the transfer being completed and the letter coming in the mail either the seller is holding a gun that is not registered to him, or the buyer has a gun with no paperwork.
I know its not as big a deal with non-restricted, but they are a bit nuts with the rules concerning restricted.
