The finish is crap. Scratches up and chips very easily, unlike any other 1911 I've seen. The action is not smooth, and the trigger is notchy. Overall fit and finish is crapola.

STI is so far beyond what Para builds it's not even a competition any more. Go Trojan or Ranger, you will not be let down. There's a reason those Paras are now selling for $890. Pay a little more for the STI.
 
Look at the prices on EE....Para's aren't worth much, got to be a reason. I HAD one. If you want a SS 1911 look at Colt, STI, Kimber, Valtro, or Springfield. If you like the LDA trigger than ......
 
Sold mine for $650.00 because the finish was missing on the front trigger guard and the dust cover other than that , the gun was reliable, combat accurate, trigger on the heavy side, around 6LBS.

But again, for the price when new, the finish is very low quality, mainly the alloy frame.
