Para 1911 problems

So I've had this gun for a few years now and last summer (2012) it started staying closed on the last round , this year every time I finish a mag it was the same thing , I saw one up for sale on here and the seller had the same problem and fixed it with a Wilson combat slide something another , anyone out there know what it is and where the best place to find one in northern Alberta ?

Sounds like he replaced the slide stop. The pin and lever gizmo on the left side of the slide. A cheap part.

Could be you need to bend the tab on the spring follower in the mag. a bit to engage the slide stop.

When you say the gun stays closed.
Do you mean that the slide does not retract at all?

Ya , after 15-20 rounds its not staying open , I clean it after every range trip and sometimes while I'm there if with trigger happy friends ,about 700 rounds put threw it over 3 years

Not staying open after the last shot, is not the same as not opening at all after the last shot.

Your problem may be connected to the slide lock/release.

Does your gun have this problem with different magazines?
