Well, here I am at it again, the continuous search for decent basepads for 14.45 magazines.

I still can't believe how they could put such cheap plastics lower sections on Para 10 rounds magazines that cost close to 80$ apiece, but it doesn't change the fact that those plastic parts are all worn out or broken from being dropped on the ground during IPSC matches or practices.

I've considered Viper Competition base pads, but they only make them for the 16.40 pistol, and altough they will fit the 14.45 mag, they will reduce it's capacity to 9 rounds, which is unacceptable for competition.

I've tried to mill some out of aluminium, but I soon realized that my milling talents sucks.

Now I'm still wondering what's available to me.

Any help and tips will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Actually, my first question was quite confusing.

What I am looking for isn't really the basepad, but the inferior section of the magazine (the section that would usually be metal on the full-capacity magazine but that's plastic on the 10 rounder). The front plastic retaining 'nipple' is completly worn out will fail any minute now.

Dawson's had alot of basepads, but I didn't find any replacement for the 'lower section' of the magazine.
