Was a the store today and the im looking. At a para ordinance 9mm for 650. Any word or knowledge on these are they reliable or problematic?any info will be appreciated!

There will be many comments for and against Para. The Canadian ones were fine but the American ones apparently had issues.
I've always steered clear of Paras. With all the SAMs, STi, Rugers and even Norcs out there, I just didn't want to risk it.
Also, 9mm and 1911s together have a history of being finicky. 9mm AND a Para 1911 might be more than you want!

I heard the opposite. The Canadian ones were very inconsistent. Some good ones and some garbage like the one just reviewed in calibre magazine. The last couple years of American made paras have been getting decent reviews, particularly the 'higher' end models, eg expert, elite.

the elite models look fantastic. I was trying my hardest to research about 2 9mm models and not much has been written. I heard too many bad things though. there was enough doubt for me to not chance it at the moment. if the mags are not great, I'd have to search for twice as many replacements (I'd have to give up the stock 2 and still buy up 3 or 4 that may or may not work better).
the .45 versions should be more reliable though

Like you said, the Calibre magazine did an article on them a couple of months ago and didn't have a lot of good to say about the Canadian built ones; the US made ones are supposed to be pretty good and getting better.
