Para ordinance, I used it for Carry and a sight question….?

I know many on here had things to say about Para and the quality from the US plant in North Carolina. well ill say I took the chance bought one on a clearance sale and it has been awesome. I dropped in a Dlask metal mainspring housing and a full length operating rod as well as hogue grips. The pistol hasn't had a misfire yet, shoots very accurately and functions well. I took it too the US on a tactical tracking course and practiced my freedom openly carrying it everywhere I went with 3 mags gold dot speer defensive ammo. I really like this pistol it felt great. I carried a browning hi power in Afghanistan and a smith & wesson model 10 in 38 special when I was a young guy working with Brinks. I loved all of them the Browning's could use better grips and adjustable sights, but with good mags they were flawless. I owned a glock for years and so glad i sold it not a fan of plastic. I will never carry a polymer wonder 9 ever again. Is the Para gi expert a great 1911, their is certainly better and one day ill buy a Colt. for carry it has to be a 1911 or a 357 mag the only 9mm i would consider is the browning hipower/ cz and only a range/glove box/ dresser gun.

My only question is where can I find adjustable rear sights that will fit the GI expert?

I'm not sure that there are any common adjustable sights that fit the GI sight cut. You may need to have it re-cut in the Novak or Bo-mar style.

I'm glad your para has worked out for you as well, I've been lucky with mine too. I will admit my friend wasn't so lucky his was really bad. I wish I had a Canadian one but everytime I see a used one people want way too much.

I'm glad your Para is working out for you. There seems to be a lot of Para haters here on CGN lol. I have an older Canadian made Para from 2008, a P14 Limited stainless. It came with factory adjustable target sights, perhaps Para offers something similar for the GI. I find mine very accurate, but also has a very tight chamber that can give me problems with sloppy reloads. I have to make sure I use properly sized bullets in my reloads or the slide doesn't always go fully into battery (tight chamber). It has been 100% flawless with every type of factory ammo I have fed it.
