Para Ordnance magazines and magazine parts

Some of my LTD14-45 10 round magazines have busted bases. Little plastic tabs that hold the base to the metal mag body broke off.

Is Brownells the only place where I might find these mag parts?

I probably should add another half dozen mags to the collection too, if there is a good place to buy these let me know.

Try contacting Para Ordnance direct. I had excellent dealings with them regarding a manual and take-down wrench for the .45. They shipped both to me free of charge.

I'd recommend getting a couple of the metal basepads that Double Tap has. I have similar ones on my 16-40 mags and they have weathered very hard competition use including hundreds of drops on concrete.

Anyone know where to find whole mags? Mar star had Mec-Gar mags but are out of stock.

So I got the basepads form DoubleTap.

Is there some trick to installing these into the magazine bodies? Do I have to play with the screw on one end? They don't seem to want to go in easily.

On the ones I have, there are two fixed tabs on the back and a pin on the front that locks into the mag body. The pins on mine are spring loaded, so you can lock the back tabs in and depress the pin until it locks into place. Unless the design has changed a lot?? I can make a video if what I've wrote is confusing.

When I first looked at them, I assumed the pin had a spring but it doesn't move at all.

Okay, the springs are just very tight. I had to force them in with a punch, but it worked. Thanks
