One of the fellows down here in southern Alberta is shooting a Para P16-40 with a power extractor. The other day he came out with both reloads and store bought ammo. His reloads run flawlessly. However when he switched to the store bought he begin to have failure to extract problems. Since his gun has a power extractor in it, there is no way for me to tweak it. Now the only difference that I could see between his reloads and his store bought was that his store bought was Winchester white box FMJ 165s. His reloads were 180 lead. I fired a couple of mags through his gun and had one failure to extract on the first mag. I held on to the second mag a bit harder and no problems.
So besides grip does anyone have any suggestions of what he can do with the power extractor or reason why he is having failure to extract prolems?
