Will do as soon as I am able. I won't be able to shoot this weekend as I had planned. Got some overtime at work.

Welcome to the club. I have a Para SSP and it is a great gun. I think that it is probably one of the best 1911's for the money.

Have fun

After putting in some OT on graveyard shift and feeling a second wind coming on, I went up to the range to put a few rounds through the SSP. Please excuse the photo but I think it gets the idea across. These 5 rounds were shot at 12 yards, off hand. I only put 65 rounds of American Eagle through the gun. I needed two magazines to get a 'feel' for the pistol and sights. After about 50 rounds, I noticed that I was developing a flinch probably due to fatigue and that my groups were opening up and I was starting to shoot low. Decided to pack up and go home, post this and get some rest. The trigger on the SSP is very, very sweet. The pistol functioned with no hiccups at all and the power extractor is exactly that!! It chucks spent brass with a vitality that I've never seen before. I know that 65 rounds isn't a lot of rounds shot but it was enough for me to see the potential of the gun and get a feel for its general handling and sighting characteristics. I am definitely the weak chain in the link and can't wait for the months ahead getting to know her better. (OMG, I refered to the Para as a 'her'...)
