Is rifle such as HK-416 legal to buy?

How do you tell whether it is legal or not?

Some manufacturer's website will say certain models are
for government & LE but they are available for public.

I am just little confused. Is there a simple and easy way to tell whether certain models of rifles are available/legal for Canadian market?

Thanks

looks like a M4 before it goes to Jenny Craig

Who knows, best to call the CFC but it is Canada after all where the Mini14 that got all this C68 'rolling' is left untouched, Ar15's go Restricted, You can own a M14 but cant own a FNC1:rolleyes:

Canadian gun laws summed up : You can by a Chevy 1/2 but not a GMC 1/2 ton

Of course it's legal to buy in Canada. It's a restricted firearm. Any AR15 variant that comes out of the factory as Semi automatic only is legal to own.

The trick is that most HK416s lowers in Canada either aren't semi, or are stipulated for law enforcement by HK. If you want to keep your dealership, you gotta play by the dealers rules.

Uppers are super expensive ($3500+), lowers are not available, 416 upper can fit an AR-15 lower (still restricted). Or you wait for the civilian version of the 416 to become available.
