In working on a friends gun. Completely re-blued it and I just finished stripping the wood to do an oil finish. At this point I think it would be a shame to leave a crappy looking recoil pad on there. Since there appears to be no direct replacement, has anyone found a "close enough" replacement? I'm not afraid to grind it to fit if required. My selection locally is lacking, so I'll most likely have to order it. If you have a make and model, it would be appreciated.

I will have a look when I get home - I believe I used a Pachmayer 'medium' sized pad and shaped that one slightly.

They have a bunch of different stock profiles. I found an appropriate limbsaver that only needed minor trimming for my 7mm PH. best bet is to pull the plastic pad off and take it with you to your lgs to compare.

True. Noticed that there was 7mm versions available, but this one is a 30-06. Me thinks they did different profile for various calibers.

go to Lyman or Pachmyer web sites. They have size charts for all their pads. they are also part numbered. Call Bowmac gun supplies in Stittsville. The are a dealer for both companies.

Was looking at Limbsaver and it looks like a medium would fit. Kinda forgot about Lyman and Pachmyer and didn't even know about Bowmac. Will definitely look them up.

Well my wife happen to have a doctors appointment today and on the way home stopped at Cabelas for me. Limbsaver it is! Guess I know what I'm doing next week.
