Is the PH #24 Scope mt system solid for the MK III? Steel or aluminum?Would they take only PH rings? I thought PH also made a side mt as well?Weaver mts for the Enfields are junk so that's not happening.Anyone used them? Thanx Harold

My sporterized Mk III was drilled and tapped for a base which I found at Numrich. Its a Parker Hale BA 24 made of steel. It's a dovetail type base and measures 20 mm across the top. I've been told I'll need to find PH rings but haven't had any luck finding them. Hopefully someone else here can help us both out.

Collector' Source has the Mts. maybe they have the rings? I called but got the answering machine.1-519-853-2701..............Harold

Yeah I looked at their site when I was searching for a base that fit the hole pattern on my rifle. Just about crapped my pants when I saw what they were asking for it. Apparrently when you start using the word " collector " in association with things it increases their value by like 7X. Check out what Numrich is charging for it and you"ll see what I mean. At any rate it's worthless if you can't find a set of rings to fit it. It looks to me to be the best scope mount system I've seen for the Mk III. Still hoping someone on this site with some experience with this setup and/or a set of parker hale rings on their bench happens on this thread.
