I have a parker-hale, don't know the model it doesn't say on it, it's a 270 and there is a slight barrel bulge about 2 inches from the muzzle. I am looking to rebarrel, would the threads be the same as a mauser 98?

It is most likely the same as the large ring, large thread 98.

With the bulge 2 inches back from the muzzle it may still shoot reasonably well... test it...

did some looking on line and finally found a few that is the same as mine, it's a 1000c
I will get some ammo and try it out before buying another barrel

It's a hunting rifle, not a target gun. As guntech has advised you, shoot it first with the barrel as is before making any decisions.

I have had a number of rifles over the years with bulged barrels that shot very well.

TradeEx lists some sporting 98 barrels. Fitting and finishing would be required. Then there is the issue of barrel contour and stock inletting.

As mentioned, try the rifle as is, with cutting and crowning also being an option.
