Hello Folks - Bought an estate lot that had a few Enfields in it which I know very little about - the one that stood out was one in .22LR. Did a little research but could not find much. It was the only one I have seen not in a military stock but a sporter style stock. Has a williams peep site mounted. looks like a 22LR barrel and not a sleeve. Barrel crown is parker hale marked alse.

I have no use for it but curious for details before listing it for sale.

Any info / guidance etc would be appreciated.

Cheers
Klammer

The stocks are Sile (Italy) made, used widely on Parker Hale sported Lee Enfields.
The rifle was converted to .22 by Parker Hale. Does the marking at the muzzle say "Parker Hale" or "Parkerifled"? Wrapped around the bore on the face of the muzzle? Likely sleeved.
i suspect that what you have is a No. 4 that was converted to .22 by Parker Hale, most likely in issue configuration. It was subsequently sported by the addition of the PH/Sile sporting stocks. Is the receiver Mk. I or Mk II? The forend could be used on either.
Can't tell if the rear sight pivot lugs are still present. Drilling and tapping for the commercial receiver sight might hurt value.
