Parker Hale No9 Mk1 on its way

Howdy folks. So what can the collective tell me about these Royal Navy .22 rifles? I've read that there was approx 3000 made so its should be a little more collectable then my two CNo7's right? Unfortunately it doesn't come with the proper factory sights but it does come with the parker hale target rear sight and tunnel front. Should have it some time next week. Lucky me

[/IMG] The mag is a canadian one as you can see the marks om the rear of it and the .22 stamp on the side. Don't know if the Brits would have used this(probably not) as a empty No 4 mag would have been cheaper. No? To me it looks just like one of the other Lee Enfields I own. Does this mean I have too many?

What is the knob in the butt stock at the heel of the pistol grip? Some kind of weight? Counter balance point?

Glad you asked sir. That is the official holder thingy for the replaceable front sight inserts. I could take pics or you could just google Parker Hale front sight inserts and check out images.

I think most of them were No4 MkIs.
Your No9 is a No4 MkII as was my example.
