As title says a friend of mine has a Parker Hale Safari in 308 win that doesn't feed.It has a long action hinged floor plate and the bullets seem to jam on the feed ramps. Also the follower will come out through the bottom of the action. This is an early safari that still has the thumb cutout. He just got this rifle and it shoots very well would just like to get it to work properly.I did try taking the clip and bottom metal out of a Parker Hale 1200c and it seemed to work flawlessly if that helps

Compare the two clips or mags and shape the none working one like the working one. Measure the differences. The lips on the mag could be too tight on the outgoing edge and too loose or bent up on the back edge, changing the angle the round comes out at, butting against the feed ramp.

It is a converted military pattern receiver. Feed is controlled by the feed rails integral to the receiver. I recall a very similar rifle in .243 that came through my shop. It didn't feed, never fed, couldn't make it feed. Broke it for parts.
Might consider one of the detachable magazine systems.

Might consider bullet contours as well here. Military actions don't seem to like feeding stubby round nosed bullets in my experience.

Didn't the SA conversions in the 98 mausers require a magazine spacer for correct feeding like the Israeli .308's ? Harold
