l hope this is the right area to post this, l have the opportunity to purchase
a Parker Hale in 7mmRem, hinged floorplate. l'm not sure what model.
Does anyone know if someone makes synthetic stocks for these rifles.
Also do any of these rifles come with a drop out magazine,
or can they be properly converted over to a drop out mag.

Parker Hale did make a few Sporters that were kind of commercial actions.

have a look at the bolt. does it look like it came from a Springfield 1903A? If so, then you have a Midland. The K98 stocks do not fit as this was a commercially type action built to some other action screw length.

If a true converted K98, then aftermarket has lots of stuff. There is a kind of det mag but uses the orig military trigger guard.

Confirm if this is a military or aftermarket configured action.

Besides the models already mentioned, P-H marketed a commercial version of the 98. I believe it was the model 1200.

The synthetic offered by Ramline to fit the Interarms Mark 10 would fit the 1200.

Best bet is to get a Corelite. Available from Battenfeld Technologies in the US or SG - GUNPRO in MB. Black synthetic with recoil pad and sling swivel studs.
The bolt handle must be rasped in and maybe some minor fitting for the magazine box. let me know if you need one sggunpro@mts.net

They have Ramline stocks at Wholesale Sports if your interested.

Ramline part #20981. I put one on my Interarms Mark X .243

If the gun's in good condition at a good price, you won't be disappointed. They are generally very accurate rifles.

mysticplayer - I think a Midland will basically fit a '98 inlet. Made it cheaper for PH to assemble these rifles, by using available parts. PH Mauser type rifles are esentially 98s, very early ones used a modified military pattern receiver, later ones were a sporting action. Their trigger and safety mechanisms are different from some other 98 based sporters like the Mk.X, so stock modifications would be necessary. PH made a detachable magazine version, which made assembly and disassembly of the rifle a bit of a pain. The mags are long out of production, and expensve.
