Parkerizing 870 express

It's getting to that time of year again where I'm thinking about winter projects.
One is refinishing one of my 870 express receivers.
I've got that parkerizing kit as I've done other guns with it before. So, that's not the issue.
I'm wondering about the original 870 finish. Will it come off in muriatic acid, or will I need to put it through the sand blaster?

I'm doing one right now. The finish is not a coating. Its like they blasted it and blued it. I'm sanding to remove the die/casting lines and flatening the flats then I will blast with a fine grit before parking. I would not give it an acid dip unless you are going to remove the springs in the receiver. If you aren't planning any filing/sanding then I would blast it first
