Parkerizing or Armacoat?

I didn't degrease or bead blast it.
Just took it apart, threw it in a 50/50 mix of muriatic acid and distilled water.
From there into cold water to neutralize the acid, then right into the pot to parkerize.
Then right from the parkerizing pot to the pot of oil.Take it out once it's cool, wipe it all down and put it back together.

I'm gonna do my NP-34 and all the mags i have kicking around tonight or tomorrow the same way

Where does one pick up muriatic acid, and how dangerous is the stuff?

Ronin, that looks very nice, and you make it sound so easy. Got a bottle of Radocy Park out in the garage, still haven't mustered enough courage for my first refinish job though.

Muriatic acid(Hydrochloric acid)
can be picked up at Rona in the plumbing section..
Home depot doesn't carry it anymore due to an employee having an accident,(in this town anyways)
Just be real careful with the acid as it'll turn your fingernails into goo real quick, and the vapour is poisonous

It really is that easy, give it a shot

Notes:

Double up the recommended amount or park solution to get a dark grey finish
And without the acid pre-treatment it will come out a lighter shade
