Parkerizing

Do you guys know where I could get my 870 shotgun parkerized.
Preferably in quebec or ontario...
Anything special I should know about getting a gun parkerized (never had it done before)

You might have to do a bit of web searching to see what you can learn about it, and where it can be done.

I remember reading a thread on some gun site, a few years ago about a product that you could apply yourself, then cure in an oven. (Stock removed of course) It was supposed to re-create the parkerized finish.

You can do smaller parts at home but I think the whole 870 might be a bit too big.

Try PJ at pjsproducts.com he beadblasts ant reparkerizes stuff and is in the Grater Toronto Area.

+1 for PJ's I just did my 1911 eith his product. If you can get your hands on a big enough container and a way to heat somewhat accuratly, give PJ a call.
