Parking 1911 mags?

I am currently prepping to parkerize my norc 1911, and was wondering if I cold parkerize the three mags that came with it. They are have the welded base plate so I am assuming no?

i would rather polish the mags, it will make it easier to insert and release the mags. parkerizing makes it a little rough.

The magazines can be disassembled through the top, if you do. Push the follower down, put a pin through to catch the spring, and free the follower.
