Good evening,

I currently have an AR-15 carbine that has a S&W lower and an unknown 10.5 inch upper receiver that I took on a partial trade a few years back. It hast seen much use by me in the past year and I intended to sell it to fund other things, though given that I'm not 100% sure of the manufacture of the upper receiver/barrel, its been a bit of challenge as most prospective buyers seem to want bits/parts of it. I nowhave my eye on one of the surplus C8 uppers from a few of the sponsors and am considering parting out the EOTech 552 and the upper and am wondering if you guys could help me potentially ID the make of the upper. Since I can't firm up a make on it myself it has been difficult to determine potential price of the upper and the a current value for the EOTech.

Attached a few pictures of the upper. It has no markings that I can find anywhere other then the "1/9 NATO" on the side of the barrel and the "15" on the front sight. The barrel is a "heavy barrel" profile from the looks of it.

Any help is appreciated.

My CQ-A doesn't have that "15" marking on the FSB or that twist rate marking on the barrel. It just has the serial number hand stamped on the bottom of the bayo lug. Also his has a better finish.

I don't think it's a Norinco, at least it doesn't match my 14.5" CQ-A. Maybe the 10.5" is marked different...

I was going to say Norinco based on the dust cover and no c clip on it. But I really can't tell if there is a c clip based on the photos.

Thanks for the info. If this is a Norinco - what is the upper with a detachable carry handle worth in this shape if I part it out?

Also - any ideas what a used EOTech 552 is worth? I'm the original owner and also bought it a few years ago. Still have the paperwork and box etc... In excellent shape. I've checked the EE and haven't found a used one for reference.

The black finish of the upper and barrel profile match the Norc 10.5, but i haven't seen barrel marking or the "15" before

ETA: If it is indeed a Norinco 10.5" upper I would say value of $3-400 maybe? For the Eotech in good shape should fetch ya $450 no prob

Thanks everyone. I was doing more reading online and found that the bolt carrier group is likely made by Olympic Arms given the "circle y" stamp. Is it possible its an Olympic Arms upper and/or barrel?

It turns out the carbine has a "Mega Arms" charging handle.

Hi everyone,

Quick update. I dug out the carry handle that came on the carbine and found some markings. I found a "keyhole" and a "2". Upon further inspection it seems as if there is a partial "O" or a "C" on the barrel. It also seems to have a clip on the ejection port cover. Any ideas?

Also, the barrel itself has the feel/texture very similar to that of a C9 LMG, that almost very finely ribbed or ringed feel if that makes any sense?
