Hello Rim Fire fans,

I was given several decades ago, by my great Uncle Joe , a Cooey Rabbit Rifle. It is from the 1920s.

I would like to restore it to original form. When, my dad was a kid, he broke the original stock. So, he modified one from a Winchester rifle to repair the Rabbit rifle. He used the winchester trigger guard and modified the trigger to fit. It has a good barrel and bolt. But, I'd like to find an original stock, trigger and trigger guard. I want to restore it as a momento and collectors item of my great uncle Joe. So, does anyone have a old Rabbit rifle that is useable for parts?

Thanks,
Dave K

Hello Dave,

I don't have one to sell. If you want to buy and trade you might want to try the equipment exchange forum. In your user CP sign up for it and with in 4 days or so you will be able to buy and sell items. You may also want to try looking at Numrich gun parts. They carry a lot of old items for guns. Another one to try might be western gun parts in edmonton.

Hopt this helps :)

If the liberals knew there were armed rabbits roaming the countryside with their own rifles we'd have a ban on them in no time.

I have seen 3 .22 rabbits all with different homemade stocks. The one I have was my great uncles and has a home made stock and trigger guard. I was told when they came out they were available with or without stocks, because many people ordered them through a catologue they ordered them without a stock to save shipping costs.Theyhad more time than money so they made the stocks. So I think you would have a hard time finding one.I enjoy mine and its very accurate so shoot it and enjoy. The oldtimers I got the info from years ago are no longer around and I can't find any info in my old books so I can't confirm the stock info I gave

SORRY WRONG THREAD....I'LL FIND MY WAY OUT...sorry!

What does anyone think of the Remington line of semi-auto .22s? I saw one for 199.00 new in box , can't recall the model. Synthetic/blued....I think it was a 597.
