I need to find a source for a top jaw and jaw screw for a EIC Land Pattern flintlock pistol. All the USA sources seem to want a high price just to ship (Iie: $7.00 for the jaw and $25 to mail it).
Are there any Canadian sources for such original or reproduction parts ?

You will have to re thread the hole for the top jaw screw. Modern screws are the wrong thread pitch.

Loyer mentioned using a 1" belt sander...
For years I have used the little S-5 sander from Viel Tools. I see the price has gone up dramatically over the last thirty odd years. Can do either flat plate or slack belt sanding.

Best investment I’ve ever made was my 2x72” Velocity knife grinding system with variable speed. It works excellent for a number of tasks. Including roughing out gun stocks.
