Parts for Rossi's

It's pretty tough getting firearms from the distributors let alone parts...I've seen this sight which looks pretty stocked with respect to Rossi stuff. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/ They are based out of the states, and I have never dealt with them, so I cant say if they are any good or not. Give them a try, if you need any help getting something from them let me know...

Also, if you really have trouble, contact Rossi themselves. They wouldn't want word getting around that their guns can't be serviced.

it is a 1892 winchester , made by rossi ..... so i would assume that any 1892 part can be made to work .

there are a some gunsmiths that specialise in the rossi 1892 in the states ..... not sure how easily a person can get parts across the border .

on the flip side when i had my rossi apart to pollish the insides , i found it was very well made .
i suspect that the only real trouble a person might have is if they decide to " tinker " with the timing or tigger , then screw things up .
i can't see any part of the rifle failing in the next hundred years if it is taken care of .

I had reviewed a dvd of Steve Young, aka Nate Kiowa Jones of Steve's guns, one of those Rossi 92 experts. He was talking about how to slick up the Rossi by grinding down the above mentioned parts. I did not want to do this unless I had back up parts in case of an accident. When I asked Steve about spare parts his reply was since Taurus bought Rossi, parts have been harder to come by.

At this point I think I will leave the tinkering....
