parts kits

I am wondering how people are getting these parts kits that are available for sale every once in a while..
Is someone just having them shipped up here?
What does canada customs say about them?

I see what they sell for in the US. but that is another whole country away.

Wolverine sells a lower parts kit for$109.70. Sometimes you'll find one for sale on this board as well :mrgreen:

From what I understand, if the parts exceed a certain dollar value, then you need an export permit for them... That's why most US companies will not deal with Canadians, it's just a hassel for them... Others will likely clear this up more for you than I can.

Yep, the value of the kit and if the parts are on the U.S. goverment's 'No export' list.

I am talking about the ak part sets or the smg part sets. Not the lower ar parts kit that include the trigger etc.
The ones that are everything less the receiver or the torched receiver.

Despite the fact it is LEGAL to import parts for 12(x) guns IF YOU ARE are 12(x) gun owner -- it is ILLEGAL to export said parts out of the USA.
