Just thought I'd post the good news, brand new to the shooting sports and looking forward to starting (as well as doing what I can to better the position of legal firearm owners).

Anywho, I passed it in Peterborough. Everything was friendly and really detailed. I'd highly suggest checking out the instructor's site for all those in the Peterborough region! http://guidetogame.com/

Looking forward to having more to post about :sniper:

Congrats to both of you. My wife's going for her courses in October. LeRoy took the words out of my mouth. Truer words were never spoken....but it's worth it. Enjoy and be safe.

Congratulations! SAVE ALL BRASS, you will be thankful later on down the road.

Oh, and you will find yourself doing anything to earn extra coin for extra toys. Hell I even sell scrap metal now on the side to help earn coin for ammo/firearms.

I hope you enjoy having no money for the rest of your life. It'll be well worth it :)

I dont follow how saving all your used brass will help down the road..im new give me some words of advice lol:) Thanks

One word, reloading.

Saves you a lot of money in the long run.

Congrats to all those who passed their PAL and RPAL.

Congrats on passing!

How long did it take you for each? Course, study, etc...I am going to be doing this fairly soon once I get the funds.

The course in Ontario (for me) was friday night, saturaday and sudnay all day (for non restricted) and i challenged the restricted course so i just took the 2tests( practical and written) the waiting game begins after u pass those tests... you send your results to the ontario CFO and then u can receive your results in 9days ive seen or like me wait 6weeks... then once your done that you send your refferences ect to the miramichi rcmp headquarters for processing...... studying is easy buy the course books from the cfo they helped me alot

Well I've still got a month or more to wait before I even get my PAL/RPAL, so still time to toughen up the bank account :D

mylo: I'd suggest taking the course if it's available close by, other than that just read over the books once or twice and explore online for quizzes to test your knowledge with.
