Today was the last day of the local Black Badge...

Finished up all the lessons and shot all the drills.

It was alot more informative and fun then I thought it would be thats for sure, and for those of you (like me) who've always plinked bullseye, it's really not hard to get used to the IPSC targets and bang off A's all day long!

Big thanks to the instructors especially R.H who lent me alot of gear needed to complete the course. I'll have to remortgage/finance something to pay for all the new toys I want!

Nice meeting you guys, see you all at the Spring Bang!

Congratulations!

RH is a good guy.
did you ever find any ammo? I might be able to sell you a few boxes if you really need it as I have some to spare before I order again.

i am going to be there saturday for the afternoon squad (Spring Bang).

Hey Maurice,

Well, the mod's kinda kiboshed my group order, it's against the rules I guess... I ended up with some Winchester and S&B stuff plus 5 boxes of Wolf. When my finances come back up, I'll do a group order again, this time within the boundries of proper orders as per the admin.

Bring them anyway, it's IPSC, EVERYBODY needs ammo :D

I might get some off you there.

Now I need some mags.

Seth,

Looks like I'll be there too.

Remember what I said. Don't worry about spending money on gear for now. Come out to the shoot, use the gear you have.

Have a safe shoot. Get your black badge at the end of the day.

You'll get the opportunity to see lots of different rigs and people, and get the chance to go hands on with some different gear to try things out.

Don't spend a penny until you have tried a couple, and you find the one you like.

I, bought some "other" gear to get myself started. Initially, I put a bunch of money into things, and it was the wrong stuff. Wasted money. Don't make my mistake. Save your $$ and buy right the first time. You can make do with the hardware you're using for now.

Good advice.

It was a very successful course, with six new shooters and two more very close.

Welcome aboard gents, see you on the range this weekend!

:D

I initially use a borrowed holster but found that my small Glock holster worked perfectly with my 1911 and that it was just as fast if not faster than a super-expensive IPSC unit. I could jump up and down with no movement of the pistol in the holster. It is safe and fast.
Just a thought for you Seth.

Yeah, I looked through the rule book and couldn't find any: NO USING YOUR POCKETS AS MAG POUCHES rule...

Then again, there isn't a "YOU CAN'T LOOK LIKE A JACKASS" rule either...

It's cool though, I was always the poor kid who showed up at the toboggan hill with a Sobeys bag crazy carpet. No skin off my back!
