I know this may not be the appropriate forum, however Bob was a TR guy and if you have shot TR in Canada, then you likely know Bob. He was a gentleman. I had the privilege of going to Bisley on the same team as him back in the day. SOLID longtime shooter. He passed today from the insidious disease Cancer. He will be missed. I havent seen him in many years, but he was a heck of a good dude. Apparently his Son is in TR. I didn't know this but Bob has a wikipedia page:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Pitcairn_(athlete)

and an article on him when he went to the CWG's.

See you later in the resurrection Bob!

Unfortunately we all have to shuffle off this mortal coil - I enjoyed talking with him out at Chilliwack or Ottawa. He had some great flight stories!

Bob will be sorely missed.......As a local I have shot F-Class, Service Rifle, and Precision rifle with Bob and he was always willing to help fellow shooters and overall a great person to chat with.

RIP Bob.

Bob was fierce competitor, loyal friend, gentleman and devote family man.

In the 2019 BCRA Provincial Target Rifle Championships held in Kamloops, the last competition he fired, it went to a shoot off between his son Don and himself for the Lieutenant Governor's Prize......Bob was chaired off the range.....and he left the sport on top. How fitting.

We lost a real good one....

I knew Bob from shooting Service Rifle in B.C. A gentleman and a true sportsman.
Probably the last of a very few that saw the benefit of multiple disciplines within the DCRA.
