Saturday, the 14th of August, 2010 saw the passing of Michael McIntosh. At the age of 66, the world renowned writer gave in to life's final demand.

Michael wrote some 29 books, all of which are cherished and recognized as being of the finest gun and shooting sports related pubications that exist today.

The gun world will forever be the less at Michael's passing.

Very sad news. Michael MacIntosh was a great writer and a very knowledgeable and informed shotgunner. I have several of his books, my favourite being "Best Guns." He will be missed.
 
Micheal was a accomplished writer in his own time , made all the magazines he wrote for ,fore the better, great story teller, very technically minded and had the apptitude to explain things with ease. I will miss his writing in the Double Gun Journal and chatting on the Parker Shotgun Site! god bless, Dale in T-Bay
 
I never missed a chance to read Michael's musing on shotguns. He was the reason I used to subscribe to the now defunct "Wing and Shot" magazine. Michael always supported my views on the 16 bore... or maybe I supported his.
