Hi all,
I picked up this rifle today at a gunshow on a bit of a whim. I don't know much about this particular model rifle. I grabbed it because the bore looked like it was in very good condition and the bolt matched. Here are a few pictures. As far as I can tell it's an Enfield pattern 1914 in .303 british made by Winchester sometime between 1914 and 1917. I'm curious to know a bit more about this model, if you could point me towards some resources it would be appreciated. I'd also like to know more about the markings and it would be nice to narrow down the date of manufacture a bit more. My brief research seemed to show that Winchester produced about 250,000 of these rifles or so but I'm not sure what year my number would fall into. The action has some minor pitting, blueing is 90%+ or so, the internal parts have very little wear and the bore looks very good to me.

Thanks

Very nice looking. Winchester is the more scarce of the three. Just google Enfield p14 and you will have a good nights reading. If you get serious, pick up the book by Charles Stratton. The parts are ou there for a restore and they are a pretty sweet rifle.
