Get yourself an old fridge box and cut out the 2 biggest sides. Draw a 3" dot with magic marker in the middle. Load up the gun with #6 turkey shot and go back 30-40 yards. Aim at the dot. Check pattern. Tape off all the holes and repeat the shooting proceedure with different brands/sizes of shot until you get the most dense pattern nearest to the dot (or adjust your sights accordingly if you have adj. sights). Instead of taping off the holes, you can get several pieces of cardboard as well. Do this proceedure at distances of 10 yards out to 40-50 yards. Now you will know where your pattern will be at turkey hunting distances. Good luck!
Do you have a turkey choke yet? Primos makes some good cheap ones and so does hunter specialties. If you got a printer I can send you a good turkey target picture to give you an idea how many pellets are hitting in the head/neck area.
Thanks for the replies, It has a HS undertaker choke and the factory mossberg Turkey choke . I'll try and add a primos next week when I'm by Wholesale(If they have any left).
Lee, I do have a printer and that target would be much appreciated!
