Patternmaster 870

I took out my new Pattermaster 870 choke to see how it patterns and groups.

I was shooting basic 7.5 shot and some 9 pellet Buckshot with my 18.5", 8 shot Magpul 870.

To my surprise, the birdshot pattern stayed tight, probably a foot wide at 25 yds, and opening up close to two feet wide at 35-40 yds.

The Buckshot offered patterns at 40 yrds you'd expect with an open cylinder.

you can over choke the large pellets ,try it with #4buck Dutch

Eh ere you surprised that the bird shot patterned 2' at 50 yards, because of the shorter barrel ?
An 18 " barrel had little effect on the pattern but a more open choke would.
