I bought five Winchesters from a friend a couple of weeks ago. In my infinite wisdom, I thought they were all Model 94's. Nooooo!!! The two old pelters, a 38WCF and a 25-20 are Model 1892's. Jeez, and I am always preaching to the young guys at gun shows to "Do your research". Well, lesson learned - again! It's fine with me that they are 92's, though.

Disappointed? Not at all. They will be at the Maple Creek show. Not cheap, either.

I'd say you lucked out on that one. Those small cartridges belong in the '92 ... love the old '92s.

I traded a cheap generator one time to a guy for what he called "his 30-30". Turned out to be a very nice 1962 M94 in .32 special after I cleaned it up.

Love the 1892. A genuine baby 1886 if you compare the two.
