Over a month ago I ordered a Blade-Tech OWB holster and a double mag pouch direct from the maker. No goods, so yesterday I phoned - again. An earlier call told me that the order had been shipped.

The 2nd time I was told that the order information was "incomplete" and would I please bring them up to date. Huh? I did so and added a second mag pouch to the order, only to be told that would be regarded as a "new" order, requiring 4-6 weeks to fill! Saying that was ridiculous, I asked to speak to someone else who sounded like she was at least over 19. She made it possible to add the 2nd mag pouch.

Later that day, I received an email from the Blade-Tech PR person informing me that my order had been shipped via Fed-Ex. At 7:00 am today, a Fed-Ex agent in Vancouver told me that my order would be shipped overnight to my location upon receipt of $25 for taxes and duty!

It gets better .....

Shortly after my initial order, my wife ordered a Blade-Tech OWB holster and mag pouches from "Packing In Pink", a Canadian outfit in Ontario that offers shooting accessories in PINK, including Blade-Tech gear, an exclusive to them. You cannot order Blade-Tech holsters in pink direct from Blade-Tech. "Packing In Pink" was also remiss in supplying the goods and not responding to repeated phone calls and emails.

I mentioned this to Blade-Tech and Lo! - Yesterday we received confirmation through Pay-Pal that my wife's order had been shipped that day!

Very frustrating, and none of it would have happened had I not rocked the boat. Lately I haven't had much joy in ordering things from either US or Canadian sources.

Yep. Being the nice guy, being patient, all that is all very well, but more often than not you get a boot on your throat for it. Nice guys finish last, and the squeaking wheel gets the grease. Kind of sad, but hard to argue the facts. Lowered Expectations is the only way to succeed as a patient 'nice guy'.
