Bert Hartman (an extremely well known Winchester expert) and David Clark (an author who has researched and written an book about the PCMR) have been collaborating on the PCMR marked Winchester firearms for several years now.
Currently their list sits at approx. 250 rifles and carbines out of an estimated 2500. I post this on Bert's behalf.
If you have a Winchester PCMR, the following information is requested for their survey...
Serial No.
Model (M94 carbine vs M64 Sporting Rifle)
Caliber Stamp (30 W.C.F. Y/N)
Barrel Band (Milled. Y/N)
Rec. D&T (Y/N)
Butt Plate (M94 ‘Serrated’ and M64 ‘M1897 style CS’)
Upper Tang stamp (Type-7) (see picture)
Upper Tang drilled and tapped for tang site? (will have second screw. see picture)
Any other misc information you have regarding your rifle

So, if you have a PCMR (C Broad Arrow marked) Winchester, please consider adding your details to this thread or via a PM to me and I will in turn add the information to Bert's excel spread sheet and send him updates.
For the mods. is it possible to make this a sticky?
Thanks!
