What field computers are you using with ballistic software? I know there is the Nomad and Recon, but these are quite expensive.

Regards,

Peter

Also, just to expand Peter's question, who is synchronizing ballistic data between their handheld and desktop? Example...using the handheld to input data from the field and then exporting that information onto to a desktop or laptop at a later time.

For iPhone owners

If you have an iPhone then this app may be neat to have. I don't know if the program is sophisticated enough to be made use of by you fellas who do real long range shooting but for the $5 it would be neat to show off, (thats why people buy iPhones for right?).

Both Glock and I are running Palm Treo cell phones with NF Exbal programs. They work well and can sycn to our laptops or home computers.
How did we ever shoot long range without them?

Rick,

Are you aware of a handheld that dosen't have a phone or a camera with it that can run the Nightforce program? I'd love to have the software on my cell but my network has no phones that will run these programs. Basically I'm just interested in a handheld computer rather than a cell phone....if that makes any sense.

Makes perfect sense. A Palm pilot with a 3.5 OS or higher will do the job.Typically Circuit City and some of the office supply stores carry these for about $100.00
Still waiting for NF to get back to me on Recon and Nomad price and availability.

I need to find out if windows 6.1 mobile will run it. A Smart phone like the HTC Touch should be fine but I havent tried it.
